Take Your Support to “Annu” Level
So what’s the big deal about annuities, you ask? More than you may realize. Research indicates that 47 percent of workers have less than $100,000 saved and only 21 percent of working Americans feel very confident about having enough money to live comfortably throughout their retirement years.1 Because annuities offer consumers a way to create predictable guaranteed income payments they cannot outlive, these products have the ability to play a critical role in retirement for individuals in all income brackets.
That’s why we can’t emphasize enough the importance of getting involved in the education process. Regardless of your role, you can participate in increasing annuity awareness for yourself and others, and the benefits that stand to be gained from doing so.

What’s Happening in Your State?
As part of our national outreach, we’re working with governors across the country to declare Annuity Awareness Month in each state. Below is map indicating where we are in this process. If you are an employee or member of any of the organizations that are part of the Coalition, contact Lee Stiegemeier if you would be interested in co-sponsoring a proclamation in your state.
Or, if you haven’t already, don’t forget to sign up to receive news and updates throughout the coming months containing information you can use to get educated and help others do the same!
Furthermore, we’re working with a bipartisan group of Senators and Representatives to issue a resolution declaring June as National Annuity Awareness Month. In 2023, Sen. Moran (R-KS) sponsored the resolution in the Senate, and Rep. Nunn (R-IA) and Rep. Pettersen (D-CO) co-sponsored the resolution in the House. Contact your elected officials and encourage them to support this critical initiative!
